Phares to Fox radio affiliates: "Iran's regime is using intimidation tactics, possibly Terror"
In a series of interviews on Fox affiliates this morning, Professor Walid Phares, author of The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom in the Middle East said "Iran's regime is attempting to intimidate insurance companies, multinationals and third parties consumers such as Japan, India and other as a way to put pressure on the West and the Gulf Arabs to back off from sanctions and negotiate." Phares was interviewed by KURV McAllen, TX, WHJJ Providence, RI , WOOD Grand Rapids, MI, WILS Lansing, MI, WGST Atlanta, GA, KPEL Lafayette, LA, WILM Wilmington, DE, KFAB Omaha, NE, WSJK Champaign, IL, and KKFT Reno. NV, He argued that "the Iranian regime knows all too well that a head on confrontation with the US led allies in the region won't be to their advantage militarily but they may project that a limited clash may end in a cease fire and thus have them emerge as political winners of the confrontation." Phares warned that Iran's regime may resort to terrorism as a way to retaliate, not direct military means.

Phares on WILM radio: "A Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt will pressure the Copts"
In an interview with WILM Wilmington radio in Delaware, Professor Walid Phares, author of The Coming Revolution: Struggle for Freedom in the Middle East said a Government controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists in Egypt will put pressures on the Copts forcing them to change their lifestyle and culture or leave. "This could be a form of ethnic cleansing via political and legal ways, slowly and gradually but irreversibly," said Phares. "The Brotherhood won't be open about it and will claim equal rights but will at the same time enforce measures and laws that would push against Coptic rights. The Islamist Government will first target the educational system so that millions of youth would be gradually indoctrinated in their own colleges and schools, over time."

Phares on Dateline Washington: "Islamists and part of the military targeting secular Government in Pakistan"
In an interview with Greg Corombos on Dateline Washington radio show, Professor Walid Phares the author of The Confrontation: Winning the War against Future Jihad, said "based on our observation of the past few years and on analyzing the tactics employed by both the Jihadi propaganda and apologist circles in the West, it is our conclusion now that the Islamist networks in Pakistan are pushing, along with Islamist circles within the armed forces and intelligence in Pakistan to crumble the secular Government of the People's Party and replace it with a cabinet dominated by Islamists and backed by parts of the military. The US funded Pakistan with billions of dollars but failed in partnering with secular civil society forces in Pakistan to help containing the fundamentalists."
